- German telecommunications giant, Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiary recently announced that it will offer its services to XDC Network. XDC Network is a blockchain focused on RWA tokenisation, trade finance and decentralised physical infrastructure (DePIN). As per the announcement, Deutsche Telekom MMS, which specialises in cloud and internet infrastructure, is going to offer infrastructure services to XDC Network and run a standby masternode.
- AgriDex, an agricultural RWA marketplace, recently executed its first trade on the Solana blockchain. The trade involved enabling over 200 bottles of olive oil and numerous cases of wine to reach London from their sources in South Africa. The platform charged a 0.15% fee on each side of the trade for helping in conducting this trade.
- As per a recent announcement, RWA tokenisation platform Backed and L2 blockchain Lisk have partnered for accelerating RWA tokenisation across emerging markets. “Backed’s innovative approach to RWA tokenization, coupled with our focus on interoperability and Emerging Markets, will accelerate the adoption of blockchain-based solutions and empower individuals in regions with significant potential for growth,” shared Erwan Mismaque, head of on-chain finance at Lisk.
- RWA marketplace Polytrade has announced the launch of Planet Refi’s Limited Edition Messi Golden Boot Draw on its platform to mark Argentina’s victory in Copa America. This will enable fans to own a signed, limited-edition golden boot based on the left boot of Lionel Messi.
- Three regulatory bodies in the European Union - the European Banking Authority, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority and the European Securities and Markets Authority recently published a consultation paper clarifying the classification of digital assets in the EU. The paper is aimed at enabling crypto firms to understand whether a token falls under MiCA through question-based prompts, and whether the token is a standard crypto asset or an electronic money token (EMT) or asset-referenced token (ART).
